The newest trend is the Generation G for Generous. Apparently we all want to be and behave nicer! Since when was nice out? You think. Well think of Mean Girls, Monster In Law and Mommie Dearest. Or, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie In their Reality T.V. going around the USA clearly and bluntly being jerks and god did we laugh. Well Generation G want to play nice, it cried at The Blind Side and apparently still wants more.
Here is how it looks, we say hello to the counter lady when we order our Starbucks, she smiles, we thank her, buy a cookie for which profits go to some good cause and move agreeably aside to let other people place their order while we wait for our skimmed milk vanilla latte. So much politeness sounds like the world is turning Canadian Hein? ;-)
Hello Kitty gets a Starbucks, that's an exagerated view of the Generation G. I was sleepy doing this i know i could do wayyyy better but i dint!! :-)
Generations G, feels for the planet, feels for animals and feels for the young and helpless. Generation G sounds to me like a hippy minus the wide pants, hmm well looking at the collection for FW 2011 the pants did get wider! Well maybe will be slowly moving towards a 70s inspired style but with a sharper flare.
Marchesa SS2010 A bouquet or a dress? Either way i love it!

Hey am the other sister, lets skip they introduction as i think that they are very boring to write and even more to read. we will get to know each other as this blog goes.
My sister has been asking me to go look at our blog for 3 days now, but i was too busy snowboarding, actually trying to snowboard.
so here i am with multiple bruises and a very sore ass, reading our new blog.
im Reading what my older (not to say BIG) sister wrote about Gabourey Sdibe.
Its beautiful she is right, fuck the western beauty criteria, plus this girl is a wonderful actress and i cant wait to see her in an other movie.
i scroll down!!
WOW which ever designer that made this dress has probably ran out of fabric.
i cant help my self but to think that. worst I’m having this image of her on a skateboard.
she definitely needs to loose some weight not only for her health but also for her career. In my opinion she will become a one trick pony in her movie choices if any. because seriously, how many movies do you remember seeing with fat people?? besides Sherman the naughty professor?
these are few of the side effects of obesity
- difficulties breathing
- difficulties walking or running
- increased sweating
- pain in the knees and back
- gallstones
- high blood pressure
- high cholesterol
- diseases related to hardening of the arteries such as heart attack and stroke
- type 2 diabetes
- some types of cancer
so on this I’m gonna go and eat the rest of emotions i have left since everybody might thing i”m heartless by now....
but I’m leaving you with some beautiful picture she did for vanity fair.

A Wintour Moment.

(for those who don’t know Anna Wintour, maybe you have watched the Devil Wears Prada… She is the Vogues Magazine Editor-in-Chef since 1986.) I was at the NYC Fashion Week at the Milk Studio, watching Altazura. Camera in my hands I was snapping pictures and enjoying the show. Suddenly, my friend tells me to look in front of me to see who was setting there. I was too focused on the show. I couldn’t see who he was talking about I mean, I am really not a goopy and I don’t get moved by celebrities. He insists again that I look in front of me.
When I saw Anna Wintour I could not believe myself. I was sitting, breathing in the same as the goddess of fashion. I pointed my camera towards her and by some sort of wintour voodoo magic my camera started to glitch, as my palms were sweating. OMG, my camera can’t do this to me. I snapped two pictures, one which is totally blurred the other one her head is turned. As am getting ready to snap another one, the show is over. People are up and I can’t see her anymore!
These Shoes Are NOT Made For Walking...

Looking at some 18th century pictures of costumes, I came across fascinating corsets. All so tight and complex, it made me imagine only how uncomfortable women most have felt in them. They are certainly sexy but who would like to go through that physical torture to look stunning? Not to mention, they needed help to wear them, “all that time it took to get dressed! When you need someone to dress you it’s either because you are physically or mentally challenged or you live in the 18century”, my little brat sister says.
Here I am looking back at some crazy fashion of the 18th century while right at this second I am living a crazy fashion history moment. Alexander McQueen had formally sent models down the runway with fantasy high heels; Sonia Rykiel proudly presented super high heels with no heels and every celebrity seems to be opting for the ultimate high heel as a natural choice. I choice I might have already made!
I opened my closet, looked down. There they stood as an adorned trophy, in between my shining Leboutin and my lavender Pura Lopez, my black strapped Brian Atwood stood tall and sultry as a Nicole Kidman. Undeniably, I am just like 18century woman, tortured by their tiny corset trying in vain to get the smallest waist. We are tormented by our shoes, trying to walk in the highest most expensive pair we can put our feet in, and still walk in the most.
My heels are neither comfortable nor practical but they are so endearing to my feet and empowering to my hips. Have we despite our short skirts and smart talk get cut back in some sort of fashion torture? It’s not up to me to judge but for the generations to come who will look at our civilization with a 100 years look back. Plus, I am late for my dinner and my Eifel tour high platform shoes in which I can painfully work, run and dance my night away are awaiting me.
Big Deal!

To whoever says Gabourey Sidibe doesn’t looks enormous, FU.
So many people and I, see the beauty of a simple girl defying her insecurities to live her dream. She has put her fear on the big screen to tell a story about human tragedy. A tragedy so many live in silence.
It’s very easy to look stunning when you fit the current western beauty criteria, all you need to do is pick the right dress and make-up that flattery you the most. But what to do when your image is not reflected on the magazines? Do you hide? Do you yo-yo diet all your life? Well some prefer to accept their genetic and live happy. I am not saying weight is not an issue; yes, it is. I look at weight for health reasons. I don’t take cheap shots on people appearance.
If you can’t see the beauty of her vulnerability, I don’t want to convince you but just to tell you, FU very much.
